Through the Photo Section that is functioning under the Information and Public Relations Department, photographs are taken at those Government Functions graced by the presence of the Hon'ble President of India, the Hon'ble Vice President of India, the Hon'ble Prime Minister of India, the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu and the Hon'ble Ministers. The photographers in the District Information and Public Relations offices are working in coordination with the District Collectors and officers of all Departments.
The photographs taken by the photographers in Secretariat are sent to the Media through Press Release Section and also displayed for the public view at the Secretariat and at the Tamil Nadu House in New Delhi.
The photographs taken by district Public Relations offices are sent to the media within those districts and also displayed in the Collectorate Panel Boards and in the mini photo exhibitions in important Government functions for public viewing. Also, in our Department’s publication, Tamilarasu (Tamil and English) editions, photographs are published along with articles for the easy understanding of the readers.
All the photographs taken by the department photographers are preserved for future reference in Hard Discs.
