Tamil Nadu Film Division

Tamil Nadu Films Division provides video coverage of all functions attended by the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Hon’ble Ministers, important dignitatrie, the proceedings of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly, other Government programmes and also create awareness among the public regarding the welfare schemes announced by the Government.

All the video recordings of the various programmes which are done by Films division are sent as press clippings through the Tamil Nadu Films Division social media handles which is broadcasted throughout Tamil Nadu and is universally accessible to people around the world.

The important Government Programmes are compiled as video news magazines with commentary and background music and sent to Arasu Cable TV, all District Information and Public Relations offices to be screened on LED screens, and on social media to create public awareness.

Tamil Nadu Films Division plays a major role by producing video news magazines on various welfare schemes of the Government, announcements, achievements and depending on the social changes that are occurring in the society and awareness regarding social welfare. These Video News Magazines, Short films and Jingles are produced in updated theatrical versions and telecasted in all Digital Cinema theatres, Tamil Nadu Arasu Cable TV, all LED screens in Collectorates and to all District Information and Public Relations Offices to be screened in LED Vans, thereby creating public awareness about various welfare schemes of the Government.

SOCIAL MEDIA

Under the guidance of the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, the new official YouTube channel of the Films Division was launched on 16.07.2021 and started uploading welfare programmes provided by the Government of Tamil Nadu on social media.

Also, all the Government programmes are videotaped and uploaded as news packages with background voice and music through the Tamil Nadu Film Division's social media website (Tamil Nadu Film Division - YouTube) which is broadcasted throughout Tamil Nadu and this universal access to people around the world. Until now 2,900 videos have been uploaded with 10,500 subscribers and 57 Lakh of visitors have viewed so far .

THIRAIYIL BHARATHI

"Thiraiyil Bharathi", a music event that exclusively featured Bharathiyar's songs in films, was held at Kalaivanar Arangam, Chennai on 23.07.2022. The Hon’ble Minister for Youth Welfare and Sports Development Thiru. Udhayanidhi Stalin inaugurated the music event.

The Hon'ble Ministers, Members of Parliament and Legislative Assembly, Representatives of Local Bodies and other dignitaries participated and graced the occasion. School students watched the music event and benefitted from it.

“BHARATHI YAAR?”

In the year 2020-21, the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu announced that "To produce Bharathiyar’s creations in the form of short films and plays, funds will be given and necessary action will be taken for these to be released through modern media". In line with that, a programme named “Bharathi Yaar?” was presided over by me at the Anna Centenary Library Auditorium, Chennai on 07.12.2022. This program was greatly enjoyed by the school students. Also, necessary actions are being taken for this program to be conducted in other districts such as Chengalpattu, Salem, Trichy and Thiruvannamalai.
